The Shiloh American Legion recently made a large donation to rabbittransit.

Philip Crouse, first vice commander and chair of the donation committee for the post, awarded the $1,000 donation. The donation will support veterans’ medical transportation in York County.

Since the launch of its YORKVET transportation shuttle in partnership with the York County Department of Veterans Affairs, rabbittransit has begun to receive donations within the community.

The donations help local veterans secure transportation to local community-based outreach clinics in York and Camp Hill, as well as transportation to the VA hospital in Lebanon.

“We are excited to see local veterans support local veterans. We couldn’t provide this service without the community investment,” Richard Farr, rabbittransit executive director, said.

The YORKVET shuttle operates every weekday, departing York at 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. To learn more about veterans’ transportation options, call (800) 632-9063, email info@rabbittransit.org, or visit www.rabbittransit.org.
