The RSVP Lebanon County Volunteer of the Month is Donna Crouse. She has performed clerical volunteer work at the RSVP office since spring 2017.

In addition to data entry, Crouse makes contact with possible volunteers through phone calls and email and assists in getting them placed with local organizations.

She also has helped at local community events to promote the work of the RSVP organization and its value to the community and to help to recruit new 55+ volunteers. Crouse feels RSVP is a good place to use her talents.

On a couple of occasions, Crouse was able to assist with the staging of RSVP’s monthly staff meetings. This was a different type of volunteerism for her, and she enjoyed helping set up the lunch and then meeting all the RSVP staff members.

Crouse grew up in a tiny town in the northwest corner of Berks County with her 11 siblings. For the past 30 years, she and her husband, Jay, have lived in the countryside south of Lebanon.

They have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and three grandchildren. Crouse’s favorite hobbies are flower gardening and reading, mostly nonfiction books. She loves to do all kinds of craft projects with her youngest granddaughter, Megan.

RSVP recruits and places senior volunteers throughout Lebanon County. For further information, contact Margie Groy, Lebanon development coordinator at (717) 454-8647 or lancleb@rsvpcapreg.org.
